Adrian will give an illustrated talk describing the preparations a British Airways long haul pilot has to make in the hours leading up to stepping onto the aeroplane.

Simons Group will host this tour of the ASDA development site to the South of Lombard Street to see the work in progress.Meet at 3.15pm at the Newark Health Clinic building opposite the entrance to the NCP on Lombard Street. Wednesday, 29th June, 6.30 – 8.00pm Visit - Lincoln Cathedral Roof


Limited to 14 people only, and with a charge of £4.75 per person, this visit will include a tour of the roof space of the cathedral.


Attendees will see the huge timber structure and wonder how they managed to transport them from where they were cut and then lift them into position more than 700 years ago.

Annual General Meeting and Lecture – "The Dambusters - fact or fiction?"


The 2011 Annual General Meeting will be followed by a talk by Captain Geoff Dyer, former RAF pilot. The talk will look into who really invented the ‘bouncing bomb’. There is however no doubting the bravery of the crews who took part in the raid. 53 of the 133 airmen were killed before the night was out.The Gateperson will be instructed and empowered to be able to sign people in as they arrive (from 7.15pm) and will provide directions to the meeting room.
